Marie O'Sullivan Marie studied singing with the late Frank Capper and has sung with many local operatic companies and choirs throughout Ireland. A regular at his Performers' Club concerts, Marie gained valuable experience that has proved very useful to her many students at her Bel Canto School of Singing. She also teaches singing in Carrickfergus Grammar School and has also presented 'Can't Sing, Won't Sing' workshops for the Charles Wood Summer School, Armagh as well as running a 'Saturday Singing Club' for adult singers of all ages, abilities and style of music. With a special interest in voice care and healthy voice use, Marie has also just launched The Healthy Voice Company that aims to promote good vocal habits and healthy singing for choirs, vocal groups and professional voice users.
In 2002, Marie founded Tosini (Teachers of Singing in Northern Ireland), that has since evolved into Teachers of Singing in Ireland. Her work with Tosini has given her many opportunities to study with some of the leading voice teachers in Europe. Marie is much in demand with her busy private teaching practice, working with singers wishing to study on a one-to-one basis in preparation for auditions, exams and professional engagements.
