The Changing Voice in Adolescence
7th February 2004
10.00am-5.00pm
St. Patrick’s School, Donegall Street, Belfast
Presented by Jenevora Williams
BA (Hons) ARCM

We are delighted to welcome Jenevora Williams to Northern Ireland to present our workshop on young voices.

A specialist in the teaching of young voices, she is a regular consultant for St. Paul’s Cathedral, Norwich Cathedral, Wells Cathedral and Guildford Cathedral as well as for the Royal Opera House and Les Arts Florissants. She also works with recording companies such as Decca and Hyperion.

At present, she teaches at The Royal College of Music Junior Department, Surrey University, Royal Holloway College and is teacher-in-residence on Nation Youth Choir courses.

This workshop will deal with the ‘how, why & what’ of teaching technique to children as well as observing vocal development from the infant voice through to adolescence to adulthood.

As well as having a private teaching practice for students and young professional singers, Jenevora is currently pursuing PhD research into the vocal health and functioning of boy choristers.
