Saturday 6th September at 11.00 am ‘BEL  CANTO  SCHOOL OF SINGING’ (BELFAST’S  SCHOOL  OF BEAUTIFUL  SINGING  !)Belfast’s first dedicated school of classical singing will open its doors under the Direction of Marie O’Sullivan on September 6th in the magnificent setting of the beautifully restored Belmont Tower in East Belfast. As Director of the new and exciting enterprise Marie O’ Sullivan is well known and very respected in her specialist field of Voice both at home and abroad. A highly experienced teacher and performer, Marie will be working with her associate Elizabeth Drwal-Stuttard whose resume exemplifies her equally impressive reputation and ability to contribute greatly to the Singing School. Together, they will offer training and performance opportunities for young singers, of all voice types, from the age of 12 years. Emphasis will be placed on achieving graded singing examinations, as well as GCSE and A levels, but Marie and Elizabeth also hope to offer guest Master Classes, alongside regular recitals and concert performances. Speaking before the launch Marie O’ Sullivan commented: “The school is the culmination of much planning and will take a multi-disciplinary approach to allow the young singer to develop and emerge. Work on posture and breath control, as well as interpretive technique and development of repertoire will all form part of the curriculum”.  Elizabeth Drawl-Stuttard said:

”We are delighted to be offering our tuition in the glorious setting of Belmont Tower.
