The BBC have launched a brand new season across radio and TV celebrating opera, which starts at the end of May.
Among the highlights, Stephen Fry will front a BBC4 show about Wagner, Rick Stein journeys to trace the role of food in Italian opera, Radio 3 will be launching a search to find the nation's favourite aria and legendary Royal Opera House conductor Antonio Pappano will host a series titled 'Opera Italia'.
Ahead of its run, Papanno has profiled his pick of Italy's top 10 operas in The Times, all of which will feature in the series. The trailer looks great - a must for opera lovers!
