Irish Vocal Masterclasses is now planning its programme for a tenth successful Summer School.   It will take place in the beautiful surroundings of the national University of Ireland at Maynooth, just outside Dublin, between Saturday August 1 and Sunday August 8, 2009. IVM coaches singers in many types of song with a wide range of classes from Opera Scenes to Cabaret.  We offer all singers the opportunity to perform as a soloist in public.  We offer outstanding tuition from internationally renowned tutors and a team of excellent pianists. Our Opera Directors, Bernadette Iglich, Christopher Cowell and Roberto Recchia are much in demand throughout Europe.  Tutors Brian MacKay and Mark Shanahan bring a wealth of experience from their conducting work to both Song and Opera Classes. This is a fantastic learning and performance opportunity in a supportive atmosphere - where fun is guaranteed! We welcome new singers to our course every year as well as meeting old friends.  Whether you are on the verge of a professional career, an enthusiastic amateur, an inexperienced performer or are returning to singing after a break, our staff can take you to the level that maximizes your potential and will inspire you to move forward. “Marvellous tutors…..a caring and exciting atmosphere” (24 year old baritone, post-graduate Music College)                                          - “There is a fantastic staff to student ratio” (experienced recitalist)                                         - “Very positive feeling in classes” (teacher and dramatic mezzo soprano) If you are interested, follow this link to our website where you will find complete course and application details.
