The Choice for Voice 2008 Conference, with BVA,Guildhall School of Music & Drama & Barbican Centre, London

The British Voice Association is excited to offer Choice for Voice 2008 - Multidisciplinary Approaches to Performance, Health and Research in Voice.  this event is the biggest of the BVA's academic year, giving members a chance to interact with international faculty & delegates.  As a multidisciplinary conference, it is suitable for all voice practitioners, professional voice users, singers and their teachers, vocal coaches, actors, drama teachers, students, acoustic scientists, speech & language Therapists, manual therapists, doctors, ENT surgeons, logopedes and phoniatrists.  The conference will be held at Guildhall School of Music & Drama and the Barbican Centre inthe City of London.

There will be 2 sessions daily, with an extensive choice of workshkops on a broad range of topics to include: Acoustics; Emotions & the Voice; Vocal Trauma;, Pedagogy & latest perspectives on teaching techniques; Postural; Rock, Pop & Commerecial; Singing Voice Techniques; Speaking Voice; Speech Theraphy and Voice Therapy.   Each day will offer a focused session in place of a Masterclass, with Classical Voice and Spoken Voice offered by the Music & Drama Departments of GSMD & Theatre/Pop by RAM.
